Aruanã Pan-Amazonian Institute Joins the International Advocacy Network (RAI)
Aruanã Pan-Amazonian Institute is now a member of the International Advocacy Network (RAI) — a global coalition dedicated to promoting fair, sustainable, and democratic public policies. The inclusion of Aruanã in the RAI consolidates its trajectory as a strategic actor in defending the Pan-Amazon within multilateral forums and international decision-making processes.
Aruanã is structured as an organization that goes beyond the boundaries of climate policy. Its work combines applied research, human rights advocacy, strategic communication, and the co-creation of solutions. Joining the RAI reinforces a mission that is both local and global in scope.
“Our participation in the network is part of a conscious movement to expand bridges between the region and the world. The perspective that guides us is that of an Amazon that acts as a political subject, not merely as an impacted territory,” explains Ananda Ridart, Executive Director.“It is also an opportunity for listening and learning — engaging in dialogue with other realities and strategies.”
Through the RAI, Aruanã becomes part of a strategic coalition of organizations committed to socio-environmental justice and democratic strengthening on a global scale. This participation will allow the Institute to broaden its dialogue with other civil society actors, follow international debates, and collaborate in joint actions aimed at influencing public policy and territorial rights.
This new front of international collaboration adds to the work Aruanã has already been developing in Brazil. Its presence within the RAI reinforces the Institute’s commitment to advancing an Amazon that recognizes itself as a political subject, increasingly occupying the spaces where decisions affecting the region are discussed and made.
